Prosciutto, Melon & Mozzarella Brochettes

Oh so yummy, Oh so easy.

Ingredients :
  • 1 small Cantaloupe - cut into 6 wedges
  • 6 small, fresh Mozzarella or a whole 8 oz ball drained & cut into 6 cubes
  • 6 thin slices of Prosciutto
  • 6 8" skewers (no need to soak)

Put the ingredients on the skewer in this order :  melon, prosciutto, mozzarella, another piece of prosciutto, and another melon. Finish doing this on all of the skewers and you're done!

Addition : Basil oil. Trust me, this is a great addition if you have the time and want to get fancy :)

Ingredients :
  • 1/2 cup Olive Oil
  • 1/3 cup fresh Basil
  • 1 medium shallot

Puree all ingredients. Right before serving, sprinkle with pepper and drizzle Basil Oil over the skewers. If you have a few extra sprigs of whole Basil you can use that for a garnish.

Side Note : If you're not a fan of melon, try peaches. ;)
